ProRes 4444 XQ is the highest quality level in the ProRes family, developed for HDR content and workflows that require absolutely maximum quality.

Practical Application

HDR mastering. Archiving of hero material. Extreme color correction. High-end commercial production. When quality is prioritized over storage/bandwidth.

Technical Details

Chroma: 4:4:4. Bit depth: 12-bit. Target bitrate: ~500 Mbps (1080p23.98). 50% higher bitrate than ProRes 4444. Supports HDR workflows with extended dynamic range.
