Definition

Log-C3 is the Log-C variant for ALEXA Classic, ALEXA Mini, ALEXA LF, and ALEXA Mini LF. It supports up to 14+ stops of dynamic range.

Practical Application

Years-long industry standard for high-end production. Most existing Log-C LUTs and workflows refer to Log-C3. Extensive post-production infrastructure available.

Technical Details

Middle Grey: 400 on the 10-bit scale (0-1023). Clip Point: Variable depending on EI setting. Exposure Latitude: Approximately 8 stops above Middle Grey, 6+ below. AWG color space as a companion.
