Selection tool isolating image areas based on color, luminance, or saturation.
Definition
Qualifiers create masks based on color, luminance, or saturation values. Unlike geometric Power Windows, they follow the actual image information.
Practical Application
Select skin tones and correct them separately. Adjust sky blue without affecting other shades of blue. Isolate green tones in landscapes. HSL qualifiers are the most powerful selection method.
Technical Details
HSL Qualifier: Hue, Saturation, Luminance Ranges. Soft/Hard Edges define falloff. Viewer displays mask as black/white. Can be combined with Power Windows for precise control.
