HDR10 is the open, royalty-free HDR standard supported by most HDR displays and content providers. It uses static metadata that applies to the entire content.
Practical Application
HDR10 is the base standard: every HDR-capable device supports it. UHD Blu-ray uses HDR10. Streaming services offer HDR10 as a fallback when Dolby Vision is not available.
