Full HD (1080p) refers to a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels progressively scanned. It was the dominant HD standard from 2005-2015 and remains relevant for many broadcast applications.
Practical Application
TV broadcasters often still transmit in 1080i/p. Streaming services offer Full HD as standard quality. For cinema production, Full HD is now only relevant for proxy workflows.
