K35 as vintage legend, CN-E as modern cinema line. Canon's film heritage spans from Kubrick to today.

Canon created one of the most sought-after vintage looks in film history with the K35 primes (1970s). Stanley Kubrick used them for "Barry Lyndon" and "The Shining." Today, rehoused K35s are extremely desirable — TLS (The Lens Service) in London has the best-known K35 rehousing series.

The Series

K35 (Vintage T1.3/T1.4, creamy bokeh, warm), Canon FD (photo glass, often cine-modified or rehoused, soft vintage look), CN-E (modern cinema line, neutral, EF mount), Rangefinder (rare wide-angles, rehoused). Canon FD TLS Rehoused is the most popular budget vintage look.
