The 1.5× squeeze delivers oval bokehs and lens flares without the severe image circle cropping of a 2× anamorphic lens — practical on large sensors like the ALEXA LF or RED Monstro. Streak flares in blue and amber, as well as caustic effects, are clearly visible at T3.2, creating a recognizable anamorphic character that behaves more controlled than vintage optics. The lens is suitable for feature film productions and high-end commercial assignments where fixed primes are not desired. It is primarily available through specialized rental houses; purchase options exist but are rarely utilized in the market.
