What is the Panavision Genesis?

The Panavision Genesis (2004) was Panavision's first digital cinema camera and one of the pioneers of the digital Hollywood revolution. With a Super 35mm equivalent CCD sensor (based on Sony technology), it was the first digital camera to be accepted by major studios for A-list productions – long before RED or ARRI Alexa existed.
