3. Creative Use

The 50mm at T2.6 delivers the classic 2x anamorphic look with oval bokeh, blue and green streak flares, and visible barrel distortion – all at a comparatively controlled intensity. The lens performs cleanly enough for high-end productions, yet possesses enough optical character to avoid appearing sterile. Typical for Panavision productions: Access is through Panavision's proprietary rental packages, usually as a complete package with the camera body. This is rarely practical for indie productions – the G Series typically lands on studio or streaming projects with corresponding budgets and Panavision contracts.
