Tribe7 from England has created a new category with their Blackwing7 Primes: "Tunable Optics." Each lens can have its flare and aberration behavior modified via interchangeable tuning rings—from clinically sharp to vintage soft.
The Concept
T1.8 full-frame primes with different "tuning" stages: Neutral (sharp, modern), T-Tuned (moderately vintage), X-Flare (maximum flares and aberrations). The DoP can adjust the look per lens and per scene.
