The LVX AURORA is a fast full-frame prime lens set from the boutique house LVX Badalamenti Cinema Optics. At T1.5, it delivers soft, controlled blooming highlights, an organic fall-off in sharpness, and a distinctly flattering skin rendering—users place its look in the realm of Canon K35 and Leitz.
Where the Glass Comes From
Crucial for classification: The Auroras are not new builds based on historical models. LVX starts with the Tokina Vista—full-frame cine primes from 2019—and modifies the optics: elements are repolished, the coatings are exchanged, and the whole package is housed in a new body made of 7075 aircraft aluminum.
