As a modern construction, the lens operates with higher contrast and less veiling flare than uncoated vintage optics; those wanting a soft low-contrast look will need to achieve it in-camera or in the grade. The slight barrel distortion is noticeable in the wide-angle range and should be planned for in the workflow. At 2.4 kg, the lens is manageable enough for gimbal or handheld use. It is primarily found in indie productions and music video shoots through rental houses offering affordable anamorphic sets — as an alternative to more expensive Cooke Anamorphics or ARRI/Zeiss classics.
