The 1.5× squeeze delivers a subdued anamorphic look: slightly stretched ovals in out-of-focus areas, horizontal streaks in white, cyan, and amber, but not as pronounced a widescreen aspect ratio as with 2.0× optics. The slight pincushion distortion is visible at wide-angle settings at the 50mm end and needs to be decided in post-production — correct it or leave it. The lens is suitable for indie productions, music videos, and low-budget feature film projects aiming for an anamorphic look without the expense of higher-end optics like Cooke Anamorphic or Atlas Orion.
