Overview
The GF-Mod Jib is a modular camera crane manufactured by the Munich-based grip equipment company Grip Factory Munich (GFM). It is part of the grip equipment and is used to control a camera's movement in height and space on set. Its defining characteristic is the modular concept: the arm is assembled from several plug-in extension segments, allowing the reach to be adapted to the specific shooting situation – from confined interiors to wide pans.
Modular Concept
The arm length is adjusted using three extension modules (150 cm, 120 cm, and 50 cm) as well as an optional 80 cm add-on extension. The segments are connected via a backlash-free dovetail system and can be combined in any order.

On-Set Use
The GF-Mod Jib can be operated in both oversling and undersling modes; the integrated Mitchell 3-Way Double Swivel serves as the pivot/swivel point. Due to its modular construction, the jib can be reconfigured to the required reach in a short time, making it flexible for changing set conditions. The construction is designed for low weight while maintaining high stability.
