RABBIT-EARS is a mounting system from lighting modifier manufacturer DoPchoice. It is used to attach the brand's SNAPBAG softboxes to LED panels, replacing conventional speedrings. Instead of stocking a separate, heavy speedring for each panel type, a universal mounting frame is used, which fits a wide range of LED panels via adapters. For COB and point-source fixtures, DoPchoice offers a separate system called RABBIT-ROUNDER.
The name derives from the shape of the two protruding mounting "ears." The system is registered by the manufacturer as a protected trademark (RABBIT-EARS) and belongs to the DoPchoice product family, which includes SNAPBAG (softboxes) and SNAPGRID (honeycombs for controlling spill light).
Principle of Operation
A suitable adapter is first attached to the LED panel; the softbox can then be inserted into the prepared frame via a snap mechanism, tool-free, and removed just as quickly. According to the manufacturer, a softbox can be securely mounted in under three minutes. The construction is made of lightweight, robust metals and is designed for daily set use and compact transport.

RABBIT-EARS is aimed at lighting technicians and gaffers who work with softboxes on LED panels and frequently switch between different panels. The main advantage lies in the fast, tool-free setup and reduced equipment weight, as a separate speedring does not need to be carried for each panel. Suitable SNAPGRID honeycombs can be attached to Snapbags to limit spill light.
