Overview
The Cooke S7/i Full Frame Plus is a series of spherical prime cinema lenses from British manufacturer Cooke Optics (Leicester). The optics are designed for large, full-frame camera sensors and cover formats from Super 35 through Full Frame to VistaVision with their image circles. The series was first introduced in 2017 and complements the older S4/i program, which was designed for Super 35, by adding full-frame coverage.
Like all modern Cooke lenses, the series features /i Technology, which transmits image-accurate metadata such as focal length, focus distance, aperture, depth of field, serial number, and lens type to /i-compatible cameras and accessories – useful for VFX and post-production workflows.

On-Set Usage
The S7/i Full Frame Plus is aimed at productions using full-frame or large-format cameras (e.g., ARRI Alexa LF/Mini LF, RED with large sensors, Sony Venice). Thanks to the uniform 110 mm front diameter and common gear ring positions, matte boxes and follow focus units can be used across focal lengths without re-rigging, facilitating quick lens changes on set. The series is available with either the classic PL mount or the LPL mount for large-format cameras. Characteristic is the soft, flattering Cooke Look with controlled behavior in flares, distortion, and aberrations at wide apertures.
