The Nova series comprises three main models: P300c (30×30 cm), P600c (60×30 cm), and P1200c (120×30 cm). All models offer full RGB+WW color mixing with CRI/TLCI values over 95 and a color temperature range of 2,300K to 6,500K. The P300c outputs 300W at a maximum of 2,400 lux (at 1m distance), while the P1200c achieves 1,200W and up to 9,600 lux. The panels feature DMX-512 control, built-in effects (fire, lightning, paparazzi), and can be remotely controlled via the Sidus Link app. The construction depth is only 3.8 cm, with a weight ranging from 6.8 kg (P300c) to 18.5 kg (P1200c).

Die Nova P600c hat bei mir die 2×1 Kino Flos ersetzt – gleiche Ausleuchtung bei einem Drittel des Gewichts und ohne Flackern bei hohen Framerates. Die App-Steuerung spare ich mir meist, aber die Möglichkeit, während des Takes die Farbtemperatur zu shiften, ohne dass jemand zur Leuchte muss, ist gold wert bei engen Zeitplänen.
Ich nutze die Nova-Panels gerne als praktische Lichtquellen im Bild – als Monitor-Glow, futuristische Wandpanels oder auch mal als "Fenster" außerhalb des Frames. Die RGB-Effekte sind subtiler als bei den kleinen Tube-Lights, und ich kann damit Stimmungswechsel visuell unterstützen, ohne dass es nach Disco aussieht.
Eine P600c kostet etwa 2.400 Euro – deutlich weniger als ein SkyPanel, aber immer noch eine Investierung die sich rechnen muss. Der große Vorteil: Ein Techniker kann drei Nova-Panels alleine handhaben, wo sonst zwei Mann für die entsprechenden Softboxes nötig wären. Das spart Personalkosten und Transportvolumen, besonders bei Abroad-Produktionen.
