Repeat Pass / Repeat Take

Motion-control pass repeated with precision. Camera executes identical movements to capture different layers separately—foreground, background, reflections—for later compositing.

What is a Repeat Pass?

A Repeat Pass is an identically repeated motion control pass – the camera performs exactly the same movement as in the previous pass. This repeatability is the foundation for multi-pass VFX, where different elements are shot separately and later combined in compositing.
