Technical Details

The lens features 16 elements in 11 groups, including three aspherical elements for optimal sharpness. The focus range extends from 28 cm to infinity, with a 114mm front diameter for standard matte box systems. The lens offers 300° focus rotation and 120° zoom rotation for precise manual operation. The optical design minimizes breathing effects to under 0.5% and delivers a resolution of over 200 line pairs per millimeter at the image center.

History & Development

Launched in 2017 as part of the Optimo Prime series. Revised in 2019 with a reduced minimum focus distance and adjusted color rendition for digital sensors.

Practical Use in Film

Used in "Dune" (2021) and "The Batman" (2022) for camera movements and image composition. Even sharpness distribution during zoom moves, compact design for Steadicam and gimbal. Distortion under 1%.

Comparison & Alternatives
