Color temperature correction filter with a subtle straw tint — cuts blue content by roughly 1/4 of a full CTS. Ideal for gentle warming in mixed light or fine white balance tweaks.

Definition

1/4 CTS (Color Temperature Straw) is a subtle color correction gel with a warm straw tone. Unlike 1/4 CTO, 1/4 CTS produces a warmer tint without an orange cast. Lee Filters lists this filter as #443 ("Quarter C.T. Straw").

Application

1/4 CTS is used for:

  • Subtle Portrait Lighting: Natural-looking skin tones
  • Fine Correction: When 1/4 CTO appears too orange
  • Beauty Shots: Warm radiance without an orange bias
