Color correction filter for tungsten sources — cuts green by roughly a quarter-stop to neutralize the green cast from fluorescent tubes or LED panels, essential for accurate skin tones under mixed lighting.

Technical Specifications

1/4 Minus Green (Lee #248) shifts the light spectrum by CC08 Magenta. The transmission is 75%, which corresponds to a light loss of 0.4 stops.

LED Correction

The main application area is inexpensive LED panels. Cheap LEDs (under 500 Euros) often have an increased green component, especially when dimming below 50%.

Modern Fluorescent

Current T5 and T8 tubes with high CRI have less of a green spike. For these, 1/4 Minus Green is sufficient – 1/2 would overcorrect.
