The TLS Morpheus is based on a gimbal-mounted 3-ring system with brushless direct drive motors (torque: 2.8 Nm per axis). Das System ermöglicht mir subtile Übergänge zwischen statischen und bewegten Einstellungen, die das Unterbewusstsein ansprechen. Besonders bei intimen Dialogszenen verstärkt die perfekte Stabilität die emotionale Verbindung zum Charakter.
TLS Morpheus kostet zwar 85.000 Euro plus 1.200 Euro Tagesmiete für den Operator, spart aber erhebliche Postproduktionskosten für digitale Stabilisierung und Retakes wegen verwackelter Aufnahmen. Bei "A-Level"-Produktionen amortisiert sich die Investition bereits nach drei Drehtagen durch eingesparte VFX-Arbeit. Das System reduziert auch Versicherungskosten, da weniger physische Belastung für die Crew und geringeres Risiko für Kameraschäden besteht.
