Motorized zoom lens for film cameras, developed 1960s. Changes focal length during rolling — no manual focus pulling needed. Built-in servo drive for smooth zooms without stopping.

Technical Specifications

What I particularly appreciate about the EZ-2 is the precise servo control, which gives me absolute control over zoom and focus even during critical shots. The optical quality is on par with the best prime lenses, and the constant T2.0 across the entire zoom range opens up creative possibilities that would be unthinkable with conventional zooms. Areas of Application

The EZ-2 gives me the flexibility to react spontaneously to dramaturgical requirements without having to reconfigure the camera. The smooth zoom movements and the cinematic look of the lens perfectly support my visual storytelling. Especially in emotional scenes, I can precisely direct the viewer's attention through precise focus control. The investment in an EZ-2 pays for itself through saved time on set, as fewer lens changes are necessary. Despite the high purchase price of approximately 45,000 Euros, the lens is worthwhile for larger productions due to increased efficiency and the ability to realize demanding feature film productions with it.
